‘Sheila’s Cakes and Samplers’ is a small cake making enterprise, run by me, Sheila Wilson, based in Hurstpierpoint in West Sussex.
All my cakes are home made. Sponges can be more or less any flavour, the most popular ones being vanilla and chocolate. Fruit cakes are light or rich, depending on taste. I make mainly celebration cakes: birthday, anniversary, wedding, christening, Christmas, etc. using fondant icing to cover them, and adding decorations such as sugar flowers, models made from fondant icing, sparklies, etc. but I am quite happy to make everyday cakes, such as scones, flapjacks, chocolate cake, etc. I just love making cakes of any description!
